

Ward Marshall Stetson, beloved husband and father, passed away on July 25, 2026 at the age of 69. He was born on July 28,1956 in Middleboro, MA to George and Gay Durant Stetson. Ward treasured growing up in Middleboro and spending time on Cape Cod. He realized his dream of becoming a Navy diver in 1979. After leaving the Navy in 1986, he settled in Atlanta, GA.
In 1994, Ward’s life took on a new meaning. Having embarked on a path of spiritual progress and seeing a fellowship grow around him, Ward was introduced to the love of his life, Cindy, in 1995 and he made her laugh for the next 30 years. He was exceedingly proud of their beautiful daughter, Jacqueline, and was ever grateful to be her father.
He went back to college and graduated from Georgia Tech at the age of 46. After a successful career as a Purchasing Manager in residential construction, he retired and pursued his lifelong hobbies of woodworking, gardening, and scuba diving. He was amazingly creative and could fix, mend, or build just about anything.
Ward is survived by his wife, Cindy Stetson, his daughter, Jacqueline Stetson, and his granddaughter, Joy Stetson. He is also survived by his sister, Lynn White. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Randy Nickerson, and his son, Christopher Stetson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 22nd of August, 2026 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Roswell, GA.
