

Winston was a kind man with a great sense of humor. He was a people person, as he never met a stranger, and he enjoyed helping others. After high school, Winston served in the Army and then entered the printing industry where he worked for over 20 years. He then began his own business, remodeling homes for over 30 years. He had a passion for this work which he continued even through his failing health. Because of his outgoing personality, many of his customers became lifelong close friends.
He was an active member of South Cherokee Baptist Church in Woodstock Georgia where he served as a deacon, teacher, and music director. He had a special love for music which he passed along to his children, Jeff and Wendy. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, target shooting, and collecting coins and knives.
He is survived by his of wife of 56 years, Wilvin Holt Wilkerson Harris of Woodstock, Georgia; son, Jeff Harris and his wife, Rhonda, of Dallas, Georgia; daughter, Wendy Harris Faulkner and her husband, Jason, of Tucker, Georgia; brother, Melvyn Harris and his wife, Marie, of Newborn, Georgia; 2 grandchildren, Spencer and his wife, Katy, and Chandler; and many loving nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
