Zelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Ervy Boothe. Their love story began when they were just 16 years old, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Noel Boothe; her daughters, Melody Boothe and Cherry Hofecker; her grandchildren, Daniel Hofecker, Aarin Rozek, Casey B. Coull, and Palmer Boothe; and her five great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love and guidance.
Zelma dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother and was known to her grandchildren simply as the best grandma anyone could ask for. She was also a faithful pastor's wife for more than 40 years, standing beside her husband in ministry with grace, compassion, and steadfast commitment.
Her church was one of the greatest joys of her life. Affectionately known as the "Church Matriarch," Zelma made it her mission to welcome everyone who walked through the church doors. Her warm smile, kind spirit, and genuine interest in others made every person feel seen and valued.
Beautiful both inside and out, Zelma had a flair for style and was known as a true diva in the very best sense. While she loved the comfort of home, she was also a natural social butterfly. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever she went.
Zelma's life was a beautiful reflection of love, hospitality, faith, and joy. Her family, friends, and church family will forever cherish the memories she created and the example she set. Though she will be deeply missed, they find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved Ervy and resting in the presence of her Lord.
Her legacy of kindness, faith, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
