Tony passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on June 26, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Zupan, son Kaleb Myers, daughter Taylor Zupan, son Adrian Sylvester, daughter Mary Alice Sylvester, mother Paulette Conrad, stepfather Terry Conrad, stepmother Laura Sylvester, mother-in-law Cheryl Zupan, father-in-law, Leo Zupan, brother Ron (Amy) Sylvester, sister Sarah (Bo) Klonowski, sister Hannah (Clay) Trowbridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald E. Sylvester. He lived with his wife and three youngest children in Columbus Ohio.
Tony was born and raised in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School. He earned a Bachelor's from Ohio University and Master's in Education, also from Ohio University. He enjoyed assisting students and worked as an Academic Advisor. He went on to earn an LPN nursing license and served as a nurse at Marion Hospital for several years. He later joined his family's publishing business, and returned to academic advising in recent years. In all his roles, his passion was to serve and help others.
Tony was a dedicated husband and father. He and Cathy recently celebrated 12 years of marriage. Cathy and Tony each had a child of their own before marrying, and together had two additional children. Tony's first love was his family; nothing was more important to him.
Tony was a devout Catholic. He attended St. Michael parish in Worthington Ohio, where three of his children attended and currently attend grade school. He served as an Extraordinary Minister at communion, a Knight with the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer in various capacities.
Tony had many interests and hobbies and a deep love of music. He accumulated an extensive record collection over the years, and attended many concerts. He also enjoyed running, baseball, spy novels, and action movies.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 North High Street, Worthington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5750 North High Street, Worthington. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Tony's passing was sudden and unexpected, and he will be deeply missed. But as his son said, "He doesn't have arthritis anymore, and he gets to visit David Bowie."
