Arlene (Fisher) Burt went home to be with her Lord on January 12, 2025, at Story Point Senior Living in Gahanna, Ohio. Born on April 21, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, Arlene was the daughter of Howard and Audrey (Freeman) Fisher. From a young age, she exhibited a deep passion for music and a profound connection to her faith, both of which would become central throughout her life. Arlene met Jim Burt while attending Grandview Park Baptist Church and they were wed on June 12, 1954.
Jim and Arlene moved to Worthington, Ohio in 1967 where they raised their family of five children: Jeri Dyer, Bob (Cheryl) Burt, Cindi (Kevin) Howard, Laura (Greg) Moffitt, and David (Melissa) Burt.
Arlene was grandmother to 15 and a great-grandmother to 28. Her presence enriched family gatherings, her musical talents often bringing family and friends together.
Arlene’s remarkable spirit continues to resonate in the hearts of those she loved and of the many who loved her in return. Her gift of hospitality was evidenced to those she served and loved.
Friends may call from 9:30 am to 11am on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Linworth Baptist Church, 6200 Linworth Road, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A funeral service will be held at 11am at the church with entombment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, for those who wish to attend.
