Audie King

Audie Jane King, 93, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022. She was born on May 31, 1928 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late William Harrison Johnson and Susie Jane (Pennington) Johnson. Audie was the seventh of nine children.

Audie was preceded in death by her parents, William & Susie; husband, Tom King; children: George "Hank" Brown, Peggy Brown, and John King.

She is survived by brother, Benjamin Johnson; children: Helen (Jerry) Low, William Brown, Matt (Cindy) King, Julie (Greg) Chester, and Carol King.

Audie was loved by a large family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was known for being a gracious woman who enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and sewing. Audie's pies were legendary, and lucky were those who received one of Audie's quilts.

She will be remembered with love and gratitude for the many years she was here with us.

As she often said: It was a good life.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 4pm until 7pm and on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10am until 11am, at the Schoedinger Worthington funeral home, 6699 North High St., Worthington OH, 43085. A Funeral Service will follow on Saturday at 11am.
