

Carol A Tarantelli, 89, of Worthington, Ohio, died peacefully in her home as she wanted on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 with the love and support of her family. She was born and spent her formative years in Ames, Iowa before moving with her family to Upper Arlington, Ohio.
She was the oldest of two daughters born to Floyd and Jean (Paden) Johnston. Upon graduation from Upper Arlington High School, Carol enrolled at The Ohio State University where she met her husband of over 60 years. After graduation Carol held multiple positions with various entities, including the Animal Hospital of Worthington. She was known for her volunteer and charitable social work, but she most especially enjoyed her time with her family, including her dog, Tarni.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara (Johnston) Spiker and her loving husband Richard “Tar” Tarantelli. She is survived by daughters Teri Mueller and Lisa Tolbert (William); and son, Richard Tarantelli (Susan); and grandchildren Amanda Goodwin, Kevin Goodwin, William Tolbert III, Angela Aquino, Carolyn Tolbert, Zachary Tarantelli, Nathan Tarantelli, Jack Dolbeer, and Riley Dolbeer and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Funeral Home at 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio, where friends will be received Monday, July 17, 2023, from 5pm until 7pm. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 11am at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.
