Charlene Barbara (Bishop) Friedley, 95, died April 2, 2026. She was born June 24, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Fort Wayne in 1952. She came to Columbus in 1952, and worked as an R.N. for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clint Friedley, parents, Austin and Doris Bishop of Springfield, Ohio, and infant son, John Austin.
Survived by two daughters, Carol Keplinger of Columbus, and Carlene Baumann of Delaware; four grandchildren, Robert and Jeffrey Keplinger and Michelle Harshfield and Alex Baumann.
The joy and blessings of her life have been her four wonderful grandchildren.
She was a member of Worthington Women's Club, Worthington Nurses Club, and All Saints Lutheran Church and a former member of North Community Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her time and friends she made at Worthington Christian Village.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
