Today is one year since Claudette left us. I didn’t see her very often but still she was family and time with her always involved lots of laughing! I bless her memory and send my love and regards to the whole family.

I am Pat Baessler, Robin Matos’ mother. My late husband Bill and I met Charlie and Claudette for the first time at Poppie’s Restaurant on Long Island for the first time many years ago.  It was a great evening and the beginning of a long friendship. I feel blessed that Claudette was in my life for so long. I’m very lucky she gave me a special dispensation to be friends because I didn’t play Bingo! She never held that against me.
To Charlie and the rest of the family, my heart and love are with you all. I know how that loss feels but what I was told and what I’ll tell you is to always talk about Claudette and she’ll always be with you.  Eventually when you think of her you’ll smile. I definitely will always think of her with a smile and a laugh. Give Bill my love.

When I think of sister Claudette I think of happy times in the Lighthouse Tabernacle Choir. We had many fun times enjoying her wonderful sense of humor, joyful times of worship together as we practiced various songs and serious times when we prayed for one another, for our families and friends. The Bible says “the suffering of this present time is not worthy to be compared to the glory  that shall be revealed in us”. My sister closed her eyes in this life to open them to a life of exceeding great joy. My the Lord be our strength until we see her again in glory.

To our Dear Sister Claudette's family and friends; 
We remember Sister Claudette always with love and kindness. A hearty laugh and smile. She was the "cool" Sister at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God. 
Sister Claudette was that Sister that never judged and always made us feel like we belong. She was a treasured member of the Choir for many years and she was a blessing to our church family. 
Our son was born 3 weeks early and Sister Claudette was the first person to come and shower him with baby clothes, pajamas, diapers, bibs, onesies and gifts! She always had open arms for him when she saw him in church. To this day she remains his "Titi Claudette". 
 Our condolences for your loss and grief. We will miss her but await the day we will be with her again in Glory.

This will remain a precious memory for me.  Claudette was strong, funny and a great friend.  I send my most sincere condolences to all who loved her.  The world is just not the same without her.   Rest in eternal peace, sweet Claudette.   Heaven has definitely gained a new angel.  I never got to tell her that I got a new couch, just for her.  She had slept on my old, uncomfortable one.   I felt bad, and motivated,  to get a new couch.  Also, Hans built an extra step at my front door since Claudette proved it was too big a step up before.  So, Claudette, your memory lives here too.  I miss you.  I am happy you are reunited with family gone before you.  ❤️

Though we didn't see each other often, every visit was cause for celebration and good times. I know many loved ones have greeted you already and you will watch over your family, forever and always. Adding my prayers and hugs sent to the family. Please take great care of each other.

I first met her when I was  a 17 year old kid hanging out with her Son Carlos and over time she became Ma,  she was always funny and up beat and I was always welcome in her home. Later she became my mother in law and though that’s not the case anymore, she still was Ma and I always enjoyed my time speaking with her and Charlie. I am now 55 years old and the years have passed like  all of our lives do Remember , life and time are precious. She is now with our Lord in Heaven and to all who are sad by Claudette’s passing , remember her & her humor and kindness and Heart.  Angels do live among us until God calls us home. Rest easy Ma  you will be missed.
