

Darlene Lois Blosser, age 89, of Dublin, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 after a long and fulfilling life. Darlene was born on November 16, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio, to Ellsworth Young and Winifred (Varnadoe) Young. She graduated from Wilber Wright High School in Dayton, Ohio, and then attended classes at Ohio University, Athens. Darlene married Donald Blosser in 1958, and during their 67 years of marriage they had four children. She had a passion for teaching and the arts; she taught dance (modern, tap and ballet) at Ohio University and owned her own “ExerDance” dance studio. She also taught preschool at Smoky Row Children’s Center during her retirement years.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband Donald; sons Stephen (Edie) Blosser, Keith (Karen) Blosser, Todd Blosser, and David (Jessica) Blosser; grandchildren James (Kayla) Blosser, Elijah (Madison) Blosser, Christine (Anna) Blossams, Alex Blosser, Daniel Blosser, Camryn Blosser, Reagan Blosser and Caylie Monrraga-Robinson; and great-grandchildren Isaiah Blosser, Isaac Blosser, Ian Blosser, Matthew Blosser, Theo Blosser, and Daemon Blosser.
She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings Deforest Young and William “Bill” Young. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Claremont Retirement Village. Funeral services are under the direction of Schoedinger Worthington. Darlene’s final resting place will be Jerome Township Number 1 Cemetery in Jerome Village, Union County OH.
The Funeral will be Friday February 21, 2025. Visitation from 9:30am to 11:30am. Service from 11:30am until Noon. After service fellowship from Noon to 2pm. Cemetery drive and burial from 2pm to 3pm.
