Donna Rosemary Ryan

Donna Rosemary (Lakota) Ryan passed away on June 24, 2024. She was born January 22, 1938 in Buffalo, New York to Edward and Dorothy Lakota. Donna attended St. Joseph Academy and Thomas Worthington High School as well as The Ohio State University. She was the office manager for Terence Ryan Insurance Agency for over 20 years.

Donna was a beloved wife, devoted mother, loving sister, caring dog lover and cherished friend to so many! She loved gardening, home remodeling and spending as much time as possible visiting with family and friends. No one was a stranger to Donna as she had an open heart and was passionate about helping others who were in need. Donna was a committed follower and lover of the Lord Jesus Christ, even to her last day on earth. She believed that you had to “Trust God Always” and always shared throughout life that “It’s God’s Will not Mine”.

Donna’s amazing sense of humor and her beautiful spirit of loving kindness that she shared with everyone she met will be greatly missed.

Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband Terence J. Ryan, children Patricia A. Ryan and Mark E. Ryan, and brother Edward Lakota, Jr.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children Laura A. (Louis Fasman) Handlery, Michael T. (Kelly) Ryan, and Joseph P. (Elizabeth) Ryan; grandchildren Nicholas Handlery, Peter Frohne, Jr., Justin Ryan, Jason Taylor, and Caryn Wooster; her beloved Canadian Cousins; as well as her best friend and faithful canine companion, Chloe.

Donna’s family would like to thank all of her caregivers at Columbus Oncology Associates and Riverside Methodist Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care. Contributions in memory of Donna may be made to Platelet Disorder Support Association.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
