

On May 31, 2026, Dorothy Catherine Stolte (Tiemann) passed away at the age of 93. The daughter of Robert John Tiemann and Elsie Catherine Tiemann (Schenlau). Dot was born on March 28, 1933 in St. Louis MO where she attended Cleveland High School and Drury College in Springfield MO. She was a valued member of the PI Beta Phi Sorority.
Dot was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and neighbor to so many. Dot enjoyed tennis, boating and traveling. Dot and Richard (Dick), her husband of 70 years, lived in St. Louis, Centerville, The Pointe in Indiana, Worthington Country Club in Bonita Springs Fla, prior to moving to Westerville, OH.
She had many sayings and nicknames for so many that became known as “DOTISMS” here are a few:
• Hi – I’m Dot Stolte
• How Nice, How Nice
• Good Lord Willing and the Creek don’t Rise
• Don’t Get Old
• Old Richard
• You Be Good
• Thank You, Thank You
In addition to her parents, stepmom Erna Slais, brother Robert she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard “Dick” Stolte in March 2026.
Dorothy is survived by her son Douglas (Terry) Stolte, daughter Ann (Mike) Kenney, grandchildren Joshua, Haleigh, Sean, her brother-in-law Kenn Stolte and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She also had a large extended family of friends whom she loved and cherished.
A small burial service will be held on Friday June 19, 2026, at 11:00 at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s honor to the charity of your choice.
