Eleanor Murphy

Eleanor Olesen Murphy, 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday January 19th, 2022. She was born in 1941 in Boston, Mass to the late Anders H. and Helen (Hennessey) Olesen. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert M. Murphy. Elly enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and traveling. She especially enjoyed returning to Boston and vacationing at Cape Cod, where she created many memories with her family and friends. She was avid volunteer at Worthington Park Elementary School and the Food Pantry.

She is survived by her sisters Karen Olesen and Dorothy (Edward) Flynn; sister-in-Law, Peggy Regan, and Brother-in-Law, Paul (Barbara) Murphy; her Son, Michael (Joanie) Murphy and Daughter, Lynn Murphy; and Granddaughters, Kelly and Megan Murphy.

The family will be receiving visitors Tuesday 9am-10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 20 E Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214, with a service to follow at 10am celebrating her life.
