

He was born on July 20, 1937, in Binghamton, New York, to Carmen Romeo and Jane (Maslar) Romeo. Butch grew up in Columbus and graduated from Central High School. He went on to serve as a member in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on September 7th, 1961.
He began his career by opening his own small business, Romeo’s Print Shop, creating wedding invitations, business cards, and letterhead. He later continued in the printing trade, working for many years at Yeager Printing Company and Watkins Printing Company. Butch took pride in his work and was known for his reliability and craftsmanship.
He was a member of his local Catholic Social Club, where he met Constance Lynn (Graska) Romeo. They were married on November 30, 1968, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mansfield, Ohio.
Butch is survived by his wife, Constance, and his children: John Patrick Romeo, with grandchildren Sonia and John Aaron; Patricia Lynn Romeo, with grandchildren Layne Burns, Katelyn Burns, and Gianna Paschal; and David Edward Romeo. He is also survived by his brothers Richard and Robert Romeo, and was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Romeo.
Known as “Butch” to family and friends, he enjoyed cooking—especially making his own spaghetti and pizza sauce—shopping, gardening, and taking care of his cats. He liked listening to his Frank Sinatra records and often sang along.
Butch will be remembered for his steady presence, his sense of humor, and his appreciation for the everyday things in life.
