Franklin John Voytko

Frank J. Voytko, age 81 of Westerville, Ohio, and Marco Island, Florida, went home to be with his Lord on July 24, 2026. Frank was born in Painesville, Ohio. He attended Cleveland State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Its motto, “Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love,” was a guiding principle for how he lived his life. He graduated with a degree in accounting, ultimately earning his CPA certification. Shortly after graduation, Frank served in the Army with the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade while stationed in Germany. Once returning to the States after being discharged, he joined a regional accounting firm in Cleveland, Ohio. This is where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Moon. The couple married and welcomed two sons, Jeff and Scott. In 1984, they relocated to the Columbus area where Frank grew and developed the Columbus branch of Hausser and Taylor, as the Managing Partner of the accounting firm. He retired from RSM McGladrey, but continued consulting for several clients and friends.

Over the years Frank developed close friendships that he cherished. He inspired many people to succeed, freely giving unlimited support and guidance. He loved sharing his optimism, which was accompanied by his infectious sense of humor. Frank never met a stranger. He was a man of deep Faith and was a devoted member of the Church of the Messiah UMC for 40 years. During this time, he served as a member of the Church’s financial committee and as an usher.

Frank was known as a loyal sports enthusiast, especially for the Indians/Guardians, OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He rarely missed a game and cheered them all on, win or lose. Along with walking endless miles, he was an avid athlete who enjoyed golf, tennis, biking and his beloved pickleball.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Julia (Barbous) Voytko; his sister, Barbara; and his parents-in-law, Donald and Debora Moon.

Frank loved and adored his family and was a father figure to many. He is survived by Carolyn, his wife of 47 years; cherished sons, Jeffrey (Jane) and Scott (Corrie); and grandchildren, Julia, Jillian, Everett and Emmett, whom he treasured. Frank is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 AM, at the Church of the Messiah UMC, 51 North State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite sports attire or team gear in honor of Frank.
