Jerry was born in Columbus, OH and moved to Worthington in 1978 to raise his family until his passing. He worked at the Columbus Dispatch for 45 years where he continued running paper routes well into his 70s. He was known for his great story-telling and fondly reminiscence of the days he met and fell in love with his soulmate and life-partner Dee Wilson Frizzell. He also beamed with pride recounting stories of coaching and cheering on his son Dan playing soccer and baseball growing up. His favorite place to tell his tales was over a meal, especially Ohio-styled thin-crusted pizza. He liked to tinker and fix things and kept pride in maintaining a well manicured, freshly mowed lawn. He enjoyed horse-racing and spent time working and hanging out with his buddies at Scioto Downs over his long life. Jerry loved watching most sports, especially his championed OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. Sunday family dinners and Thursday lunch with friends were a constant in Jerry’s life. He rarely missed a Monday night of chinese food with his best friend of 40 years and brother from another mother, Doug Henry. As he aged he found comfort being at home watching Netflix and chilling with his beloved wife and life-partner of 62 years, Dee.
Jerry’s most proud accomplishment in his life was his family that he was the hero of. Along with Dee he leaves behind 4 children: Debbie Falter, Jerry (& Hatsadi) Pfeiffer, Sandy Busby, & Dan (& Molly) Frizzell.
9 Grandchildren: Brandon (& Katherine) Pfeiffer, Daryl Falter, Megan Pfeifer, Owen Frizzell, Kyleigh Busby, Cooper Frizzell, Kenzie Busby, Miles Frizzell, & Parker Frizzell.
2 Great-Grandchildren: Maybel & Josephine Pfeiffer.
2 Cousins: Vivian & Michael Frizzell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 3rd from 4-6 at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N High St. Worthington, OH 43085.
