Harold M. Kruse, age 74, of Columbus, OH, passed away at home Friday, June 28, 2024. He was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he enjoyed being in the Vocal Choir and Bell Choir and teaching Sunday School and Bible Study. He was a proud Michigan native having grown up in Detroit and Eastport, Michigan and attended Central Lake High School, graduating in 1968. He was a graduate of Alma College class of ’72 and received his MBA from Capital University and a degree in theology from Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
Harold loved supporting the arts by frequently attending music and theatre events. He was an avid reader and strived to learn something new every day. In more recent years, he and his daughter had many travel adventures and always looked forward to exploring new places, especially National Parks.
Preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Kruse; mother, Naomi Kruse; and wife, Sandy Kruse.
Survived by daughter, Karla Kruse; siblings, Ruth (Jim) Allen, Judy (Mike) White-Ager, Cliff (Cathie) Kruse, Ken (Cathy) Kruse, Bill Kruse and Rick (Sharon) Kruse and many loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church 4686 East Walnut St., Westerville on Saturday, July 13 at 4 p.m. with visitation from 2-3:30 and special music at 3:30. Pastor Jonathan Bull officiating.
