James Edward Leite passed away with his wife and family at his side on May 20, 2022. James was born to Wm Pfeiffer (deceased) and Joann Payne on April 24, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio. Later he was adopted by his father John C. Leite.
James graduated from Westerville North and had also attended DeSales high school. He then studied at CTI and OSU. He worked for the City of Delaware and initiated their Customer Service Dept. in the 1990’s.
Jim was known for telling others he was “Festive, Frolicking, Fun-Filled, and Eventful” which would make people laugh in surprise. He was hard-working, resilient, determined and he had a beautiful smile.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years Karen S Leite; father, John C. Leite; siblings, Randy (Theresa) Leite, Michael (Tammy) Leite and Michelle Leite; step mother, Leigh Pfeiffer of Wilmington, NC as well as three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Abdulhafeez and his son Edward Leite as well as his mother Joann Leite.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31 from 8:30-10am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 20 E Dominion Blvd. Columbus, OH 43214, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
Burial will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center.
