If Jayden were asked to describe himself, he would probably say he was wild and adventurous. And that he was. Jayden had a spirit that was impossible to put into a box. He loved living life, trying things, enjoying the moment, and being true to himself. He had a natural talent for sports, music, and the arts, and he found his own ways to express the creativity and energy that were such a big part of who he was.
Jayden loved metal music and was a proud Denver Broncos fan. He had a love for extra-spicy chili and the simple pleasures that made life his own. But some of his happiest moments came from the unconditional love he shared with his dogs, Vendetta, Savage, and Revenge. They were more than pets—they were family. Jayden especially loved taking Revenge to the dog park and spending that time together.
Life eventually changed for Jayden when he became physically unable to do many of the things he had once loved. For someone whose spirit was so wild and adventurous, that was not an easy journey. Yet even when his body could no longer take him where his heart wanted to go, the Jayden everyone knew was still there. His personality, his passions, his humor, and that unmistakable spark remained a part of him.
Jayden's life cannot be summed up simply by dates or words. He was someone who had to be experienced. He was wild. He was adventurous. He was talented, passionate, stubborn, loving, and uniquely himself. He loved fiercely and found joy in the things that mattered to him.
Those who loved Jayden will remember the person behind the struggles—the man who loved his dogs, his music, his sports, his art, his family, and the freedom to be himself. They will remember his adventurous heart and the moments that made him laugh. And most of all, they will remember Jayden exactly as he was: one of a kind, unforgettable, and deeply loved.
Though his journey has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain with those who knew him. He will be missed more than words can say.
Jayden leaves behind his beloved wife, Amanda Sallee, and his stepdaughter, Aryel Overley, who were an important part of his life and his heart. He is also survived by his mother, Melissa A. Sallee; his siblings, Tim Sizemore and Michelle Sallee Deaton; his cousins, David Buerk, Jennifer (Tom) Damron, Chris (Menisa) Ream, Tyler (Ashley) Littleton, and Tara (Justin) Moses; his uncle, Todd (Tonya) Littleton; and many other family members and friends who loved him and will carry his memory with them.
Jayden was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Sallee Sr.; his aunt, Jackey Ream; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
