Jean Bell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 90, in Westerville, Ohio. Born on September 23, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jean (Gina Marie) was raised in a close-knit Italian family that instilled in her a deep appreciation for love, kindness, faith, and caring for others.
After graduating from high school, Jean married her devoted husband, Albert, and together they made their home in Columbus, where she proudly became a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She was dedicated to raising her three children and later served her community as the secretary at Longfellow Elementary School, a role she carried out with warmth and dedication.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and her son, Paul, and her brother Dominic DiFino. She is survived by her sister, Celeste Kerka; her children, Albert (Carla) and Kathleen (Dennis) Greco; her grandchildren, Brian (Brooke), Phillip Greco, and Kristin; and her cherished great-granddaughters, Corinne and Charlotte.
Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her words and actions each day. Family was her greatest joy, and she treasured time spent together—gatherings around the table, shared holidays, and cheering on the Buckeyes with family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Westerville, followed by a funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Catholic Social Services in memory of Jean Bell.
