Jerome "Jerry" Henderson, 67, passed peacefully on June 27, 2022. Preceded in death by his son, Jon, and father, James. Beloved husband and best friend to Janet (Malek) Henderson. Loving father to Jena (Josh) and Jon. Proud "papa" to Lacey, John, Lindey, and Declan Abbott. Cherished son of James and Sunday Henderson and caring brother to James, Jacqueline, and Jeffrey.
Jerry loved his family deeply and devoted his life to caring for them. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and generous to a fault, offering help unconditionally. Jerry opened up his home, his family, and his heart to all and he took great pleasure in entertaining, especially as a bartender. He loved to have fun with his travel buddies, visiting Italy and the Caribbean often, where he would share his sometimes inappropriate sense of humor with the locals. He was a skilled woodworker, musician, avid reader, amateur barber, and wine collector; and he shared his expertise happily.
As a dedicated member of the Catholic Church, Jerry shared his faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. He joined the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight. Jerry will be greatly missed, but people will treasure the memories of his sense of humor and joyful smile.
