

A veteran of the United States Army, he served in Nuremburg, Germany from 1963-1966, receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant.
Preceded in death by father Milton, mother Priscilla, sister Debbie, and grandson Jack (son of Tyler and Anna). Survived by wife Deborah, sons Tyler (Anna) and Trent (Kristine), granddaughter Emma (daughter of Tyler and Anna), sister Candace (Gary), niece Juliet (Martin) and nephew Andrew (Darcie).
A graduate of Barrington (RI) High School in 1961, with additional studies at Babson College (Kansas), Bryant College (RI) and the University of Rhode Island.
A lifelong salesman, his career brought him from New England to the Midwest, eventually leading to the purchase of a local safety equipment distribution company which he and his business partner grew into a multi-state leader in safety product sales and distribution, Safety Solutions, Inc.
A patron of the arts, he was a lover of jazz, and became a prolific oil and watercolor painter in retirement, with a fondness for the Maine coast. His paintings can be found in homes, restaurants and cookbooks from Downeast Maine to Ohio.
Perpetually learning, he enjoyed a lifetime of experiences: skiing the Austrian Alps and American Rockies, sailing on Lake Erie and Hoover Reservoir, motorcycling through Ohio, golfing with family and friends, running marathons, studying French, harmonica, piano and classical guitar, and traveling the world with his wife, Debbie.
A brief gathering of remembrance will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 North High St, Worthington, Ohio 43085 on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 4 to 7 pm.
Burial to take place at Riverside Cemetery, Cape Elizabeth, Maine at a future date to be determined.
