He was born on March 18, 1946 in Columbus, OH to Harold and Virginia Ross. Jack retired from Ohio Steel Fabricators after more than 50 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great pride in caring for his family. A lifelong and avid Buckeye fan, he enjoyed golf, watching sports, fishing, and building and fixing things. Over the last several years he especially loved traveling with his daughters where cherished memories were made.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly, daughter Cathy Thomas, parents Harold and Virginia Ross, brothers Les Ross and Dick Ross, sister Rose Ellen “Tootie” Rodgers. He is survived by daughters Lisa (Mark) Bramer, Lori Parsley (Lincoln Seymour), Lea (Jeff) Mattern and Kelli (Lou) Loeffler, son in law Brad Thomas; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters in law Lois Van Dyke and Cathy Meaige, brothers in law Bill (Tami) Meaige, Tom (Juanita) Meaige; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on October 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on October 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
A Graveside Service will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, OH 43035, US, on October 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm.
Formal attire is not required. Please feel free to wear your favorite Buckeyes or Blue Jackets gear!
