Judy Borowitz

Judy was a wonderfully caring wife and mother, and a blessing to all who knew her. She loved her family fiercely, and for that, she will be remembered forever. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 29, 2025.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Judy was a long-time resident of Westerville, Ohio. She enjoyed gathering with her family, playing cards with friends, and rooting for the OSU Buckeyes. In the winter, she and Felix enjoyed spending time on the beach and fine dining together in Fort Myers, Florida.

Judy was a proud alumna of Mount Carmel School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for many years, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

As a young nurse, Judy met the love of her life, Felix. They married in February of 1965 and were blessed with four children: Brian, Michael, Theresa, and John. Judy was an anchor for her family; she stood by her husband and children with unwavering support through all of life’s highs and lows. She was a beloved matriarch to her children, their spouses, and her seven grandchildren.

As a nurse, Judy was immensely grateful to all the doctors and nurses who cared for her. She was especially thankful to Dr. Murnane and the exceptional support he provided to her.

She is survived by her husband Felix Borowtiz and their children Brian Borowtiz, Michael Borowtiz, Theresa Borowtiz (Berg), and John Borowitz. She is also survived by sister Sandy Woodrich (Rebhan) brother Bob Rebhan, and grandchildren: Allison Cochran (Borowtiz), Connor Borowitz, Alex Borowtiz, Jacob Berg, Katie Harper (Berg), Hollan Borowtiz, and John Thomas Borowtiz. As well as nieces and nephews: Steve Rebhan, Lisa Kopera (Rebhan), Kevin Woodrich, Todd Woodrich, Kim Temnick (Woodrich), Nick Borowitz, Carly Schippers (Borowitz), Kayla Tizzano (Borowitz).

Judy will especially be remembered for her gregarious spirit, generosity, and devotion to her family.

A visitation for Judith will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A funeral will occur Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Schoedinger Worthington.
