June Hoffman Stanley passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026 at Westerwood Assisted Living in Westerville, Ohio. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 27, 1932 to Estle Arthur and Mary Lee Roseboom. She married Howard Hoffman Sept 7, 1952, and he died April 2, 1996. They had 4 children. On Dec 28, 2001 she married the love of her life, Robert Stanley. He died on December 9, 2018.
June is survived by two daughters Debra (Richard) Gardner and Sue (Marvin) Rippe, a son, Jeffrey (Beth) Hoffman, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a number of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Dick Roseboom, and a daughter, Shelia.
June was a homemaker, and also worked for a number of years at Tiffin GE and and at the YMCA day care. She was proud of having earned her GED later in life.
Earlier in life, June enjoyed camping, swimming, riding her moped, and cruising with Bob in his pontoon boat. June loved the arts. She sang in the Friendship Village mixed choir for several years and en-joyed playing hymns on her electronic keyboard. A member of the Friendship Village writer’s club, she loved expressing herself through poetry. She also drew, painted, and worked with clay. She loved Jesus and worshiped at a number of churches throughout her life, attending prayer groups, vespers, and many fellowships.
June loved her family, and always remembered birthdays, including grandchildren and great grandchildren. Christmas was special to June. She loved spoiling family with cards, gifts, many varieties of homemade cookies and candy. No one could match her at her specialty, fudge.
She was quite a character who always made family and friends smile and chuckle with her special way with words, what her family called “June-isms”, and her saying, “Got that done”. She will be missed for her sweet smile, hugs, and kindness.

We are so grateful for the love and care that Mom received during her years at Westerville Friendship Village/Westerwood.
We are also so very grateful for the compassion, care, and support the entire staff at Capital City Hospice provided not only to Mom, but to all of us during what would have otherwise been a much more difficult and challenging time.
