Kevin Michael Malloy

Kevin Malloy, 63, of Columbus, passed away on July 27, 2022. He was born on May 31, 1959, in Parkersburg WV, to the late William and Patricia (Huggins) Malloy. In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Douglas.

Kevin was an avid gardener, lover of plants and flowers and a talented creator of stained glass pieces. Kevin was a friendly and kind soul that never met a stranger.

Kevin’s entire career was in service to others. He started in social work while in Parkersburg, WV. After moving to Columbus, he continued his career in social services at United Methodist Children’s home and in the Dublin school district. He went on to obtain his Master’s in education and was able to continue his work with children with special needs as a teacher in the Dublin school district. Kevin went back to his love of social services at Equitas Health where he was employed at the time of his passing.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his siblings, David (Dierdre) Malloy of Orange, CA, Diane Malloy of Columbus, OH, Dan (Dawn) Malloy of Alexandria, AL, and James (Ramon) Malloy of Orange, CA; loving companion, Fabrice Ligny; his babies, cats George and Gracie; nieces and nephews, Chris Douglas, Jennifer Hampton, Sarah Young, and Eryn Malloy.

A Memorial Service for Kevin will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Following the Memorial Service will be a Celebration of Life from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
