

Lawrence John Grabinger Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 11, 1937 to the late John and Winifred (Sweeny) Grabinger.
Larry is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Mary (Nagle) (d.1976) and his second wife Laura (Sizemore) (d. 2017), his brothers Jack Grabinger, Don Grabinger, and sister Alice Hault. Larry is survived by his children: Terri Gilbert, Worthington; Gerry Fisher (Bud) Virginia Beach, Virginia; Larry Grabinger, Jr. (Kris) Westerville; Shari Wetzel (Dan) Westerville, and stepson Deven Weimer, West Virginia, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Larry is a veteran and served 4 years in the United States Air Force and 2 years in the Air National Guard. After leaving the military Larry worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Oak Industries and a Sales Manager for Accurate Hearing Centers. His passion for computers led him to work as an online inventory management and data statistics consultant for Miracle Motor Mart until his recent retirement.
In the late 80’s, Larry started working with computers and it became his passion. When Larry wasn’t working on a spreadsheet, you would find him researching technology and playing computer games.
In the early years of their marriage Larry, Mary and their children enjoyed visiting theme parks, softball games, and camping. Larry and his second wife Laura spent time traveling the Bahamas and Hawaii. Their love for the water also took them to Lake Erie for many years of sailing.
The family will receive friends from 4-7pm, Thursday, July 28 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. The Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 29 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel with Father Anthony Dinovo, officiating.
