He was born on October 24, 1933 in Washington County, Ohio to Leo and Lucy Huck.
After graduating from Waterford High School in 1951, he traveled the country building farm silos. He served as a Company Clerk in the US Army from 1954 to 1956, where he was trained in electronics and radio operation. He earned an Associate’s Degree from DeVry University in Chicago shortly after leaving the service, and after 13 years of night school earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from Franklin University in Ohio, graduating summa cum laude in 1989.
While in San Francisco, he tried a new technology called “computer dating” and was matched with Paula Christine Wynne, to whom he was married for over 30 years. He worked his entire professional career at Industrial Nucleonics/AccuRay/ABB as a control systems engineer, retiring in 1999 after over 40 years.
Larry learned to play golf in the 1960s, and it was a lifelong passion of his. He loved to garden, taking pride in his annual vegetable gardens and skill in reviving orchids. He was an active member of St. Anthony’s Parish, serving in many areas, most notably as head of the lawn maintenance crew and worked as a volunteer at St. Ann’s hospital until early 2020. He was known for his devout Roman Catholic faith and his commitment to the Forest Park neighborhood community.
He is survived by his children Brian (Jill) Huck, Kevin (Laurel Kincl) Huck and Amy (Stephan Delbos) Huck; four grandchildren Ivy, Ani, Theo and Julian, his siblings David Huck, Danny Huck, Clarita Denius, Ethel Lee, and Julia Strahler, and special friend C.G. Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife Paula Huck and his siblings Herman Huck, Ralph Huck, Vincent Huck, Regis Huck, Leo Huck, and Mary Zwick.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, on September 30, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Visitation will also be held the following day at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229, on October 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at the same location, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
