Lee Atwell

He was born on November 12, 1975 in Steubenville, Ohio. He grew up in Wellsburg, WV. He is preceded in death by his parents Chris and Geraldine Atwell, sister Karen James, and brother Donny Atwell.

He is survived by his devoted wife Marianne Atwell, son Blake Atwell, daughter Haylie Atwell, and dog Dice.

He was a 1994 graduate of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, WV. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Franklin University, a Master’s of Business Administration from Franklin University, and a Master’s of Accounting from Gardner-Webb University.

Lee was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army.

Lee worked as a tax accountant for many years and was also an adjunct professor at Columbus State Community College, Franklin University, and LeTourneau University.

Lee was a Christian and member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, Ohio.

Lee enjoyed volunteering, participating in 5K walks, and spending time with his family.

A memorial service and visitation will be held at Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, on June 28, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
