Marcia Sue Brauchi

Born on April 6, 1946, in Independence, Missouri, Marcia was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her. She was cherished by her parents, Charles and Helen Folkert, and grew up with her beloved siblings, Robert, Joseph, and Carolyn, all of whom preceded her in passing.

Marcia's journey in life was marked by devotion and love. After graduating from Van Horn High School in 1964, she pursued an associate's degree at Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. Her professional life saw her in various roles, from a waitress to a legal secretary. Yet, it was in her role as a full-time stay-at-home mom where her nurturing spirit truly shone. Later, she contributed to the Westerville School system as a diligent school monitor, always keen to make a difference in the lives of young learners.

On August 9, 1980, Marcia married the love of her life, Kevin Brauchi, at the Maywood Baptist Church in Independence. Together, they built a strong and loving family, blessed with their daughter, Helen. Their marriage of 46 years stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment and deep affection for one another.

A woman of faith, Marcia was a devout Christian whose grace and compassion were evident to all who knew her. Her creative spirit was expressed through her beautiful quilts and cross-stitch pieces, each a labor of love that brought joy to those who received them.

Marcia was also surrounded by the love of close friends and family, including Melanie and John Berry, John and Cyndi Bachi, Annette and Dan Funk, Jess and Trish Myers and family, Steve Janutolo, Aimee Greene, and Fred Smith. Each friendship added a rich tapestry to her life, filled with shared memories and laughter.
