

In loving memory of Margaret “Peggy” Heiple, 99, of Pataskala, Ohio who passed away February 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 22, 1924 to Mary Ann Stofko Ansick and Joseph Ansick of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Peggy touched the hearts of many. She grew up on a rural farmstead in a multi-generational family and Catholic community near Marguerite, Pennsylvania.
Peggy was a family caretaker before going to work at Stupakoff in the assembly of radios during World War II. The love of her life, Leo Joseph Heiple of Derry, Pennsylvania has preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife, mother and was fondly called “Nana.” Peggy excelled in cooking for family and friends and leaves a legacy of her recipes for generations to come.
Peggy is survived by her son, Richard Heiple and wife Ann Heiple of Sunbury, Ohio; daughter Deborah Hoy, husband Bill Hoy of New Albany, Ohio; siblings: Raymond Ansick of Argyle, Texas, Leona Meininger of Innisfil, Ontario; and Peggy her grandchildren: Kathryn Leugers of Loveland, Ohio; Jamie Henn of Upper Arlington, Ohio; Jenna Hoy Cartabuke of Kirtland Hills, Ohio and Luke Heiple of Sunbury, Ohio and her great grandchildren: Monica Leugers of Loveland, Ohio, Mary Leugers of Loveland, Ohio, Emma Henn of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Annabelle Henn of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Madelyn Henn of Upper Arlington, Ohio, William Cartabuke of Kirtland Hills, Ohio and Adaline Cartabuke of Kirtland Hills, Ohio.
Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph Ansick of Phoenix, Arizona, Bill Ansick of Huntsville, Alabama, Paul Ansick of San Diego, California, and Fred Ansick of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and her sisters Agnus Passmore of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and Mary Ellen Suda of Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Peggy and Leo were long term residents of Worthington, Ohio and long term members of St. Michaels and St. Peter Parishes. Her legacy was love. Peggy’s fondest joy was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. Her presence in family matters was generous, kind and caring and she will be deeply missed. Peggy loved preparing delicious foods for all, keeping mementos and she leaves a legacy of family traditions and recipes for generations to come.
A private mass and memorial will be held with interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
