Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Stella Mae (Coffey) Wilson; husband, Jim Warren; sisters, Charlotte Carpenter and Frances Moyers; brothers-in-law, Floyd Kosht and Gene Pendleton; sister-in-law, Peggy Wilson; niece, Becky Southerland and nephew, Brian Pendleton. She is survived by her only daughter, Trina (Jack Aaron) Wier and their children, Jack Dean and Lincoln Wier of Lewis Center, OH; brothers, Harvey Wilson and Ray (Patsy) Wilson; sisters, Peggy Kosht and Shirley Pendleton.
Margie was born in Morristown, TN, and was one of seven children in the Wilson family. After graduating from Morristown East High School, she was given the opportunity to go to Blue Mountain College, MS, where she graduated with a degree in education. Her first teaching opportunity was in a one room schoolhouse in the hills of TN. Margie had other opportunities to teach but found her ultimate calling in Elementary School counseling. She served at Garrett Elementary school in Hazelwood School district of Florissant, MO, until retiring in 2001. Margie loved caring for the students in her school and helping them find a way to believe in themselves.
In addition to helping children, Margie’s life was filled with beautiful experiences. She loved to travel, visit with friends, and spend time with her grandsons at the beach. She had a special love of flowers, rings, and jewelry. Most of her pieces had a story of why it was special to her. Most of all, her heart was saved for family and friends. She loved spending time with her siblings, laughing, and telling stories. Her friendships were life long and loyal and her role as a mother was one she always wanted and cherished. She spent the last six years of her life living close to her daughter’s family in OH, and enjoyed watching her grandsons grow. She attended Rock City Church and kept Faith as part of her everyday life.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Margie’s friends at Corso Care in Storypoint and the Hospice and team at Friendship Village for their compassionate care and support in her last few years.
A Funeral Service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Cemetery Chapel, 9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035, US, on August 19, 2026, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Margie had a kind heart that shined light to those that were fortunate enough to be around her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends until we meet again…
