

She was born on April 9, 1942 to William A. Riehl and Talitha H. Riehl (Gertz) in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Hoover High School in North Canton, OH and received her master’s degree from the University of Akron in Historic Clothing and Textiles. She was a member of Church of the Master, Westerville, where she sang in the choir. Marilyn will be remembered as an advocate for caring for people and animals who could not care for themselves. She also took great pride and satisfaction in teaching others to quilt, bake and sing. Her enormous love for her granddaughters was known to everyone who encountered Marilyn.
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Eberly, New Albany, OH, Scott Lemmon, Canton, OH, and Stephen Lemmon, North Canton, OH; 2 grandchildren, Casey Harmon (Drew), Sunbury, OH, Lauren Eberly, Westerville, sister Carol Coate (Barrie), Fairfield, CA, brother John Riehl (Beverly), Strongsville, OH, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, William L.Riehl.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Marilyn’s life at Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, OH 43085 on December 21, 2022 at 11:00am. A reception will occur immediately after the service.
