Mark Richard Maguire

Mark attended Dublin City Schools and graduated from Hudson High School. He was a longtime Special Olympics athlete in basketball, golf, and track and was an active golfer with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). He especially enjoyed weekly rounds of golf with his parents.

Mark was known for his sweet smile, kind and loving nature, wonderful sense of humor, and easygoing personality. He loved spending time with family and friends, including weekly outings with his best friend, Chris. He enjoyed attending day programming at Addventures, working out with Sam through Valemee Gym, listening to music, playing basketball and putt-putt, going to the movies, playing video games at Dave & Buster's, watching WWE wrestling, and dining out. He especially enjoyed annual trips to Disney World and loved goofing around with Laurel and Brooks.

Mark's consistent presence brought joy and comfort to everyone who knew him. His sweet smile and infectious personality will be deeply missed.

Mark is survived by his parents, David and Anne Maguire; his sister, Michelle Maguire, and her husband. Philip Saporito: and his beloved nieces, Isabella and Violet Saporito. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Dale Richardson; Diarmuid and Pauline Maguire; Anne and Ray Stewart; and Mark and Virginia Maguire, and his many cousins: Lara Daniel, Adam Maguire, Ben McGurk, Felicity Constant, Simon Stewart, Patrick Stewart, Shane Stewart, Fynn Stewart, George Stewart, Jessica Stewart, Dylan Daniel, Kate Maguire, and Anna Maguire.

Mark will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, love of life, and the happiness he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Funeral Service will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, on Sunday August 23, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

A time to visit will take place at the same location to follow the service from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
