

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, which laid the foundation for a distinguished career in the military. Serving in the Army for 30 years, he achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel in the military police, demonstrating leadership and commitment throughout his service.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda A. Marek, with whom he shared many cherished years. Mark's personal interests included hiking the Appalachian Trail, a testament to his love for nature and adventure.
He was the son of Ferdie Marek and Frances (Kelereski) Stelmach, who undoubtedly influenced his strong character and values.
In this time of loss, the family extends heartfelt gratitude to their most cherished friends for their support during this difficult period.
Mark will be remembered fondly by those who knew him as "the man, the myth, the legend."
