Mary Ann (Condo) Tackett

Mary Ann Tackett, 83, passed away on September 15, 2026. She was born June 25, 1943, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, hard work, and meaningful connections with the people around her. She was a graduate of Bishop Watterson High School and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She also was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and one of her fondest memories was working at "The Shoe" doing concessions.

Mary Ann retired from Huntington National Bank after 30 years of dedicated service. Retirement, however, did not slow her down. She especially enjoyed her post-retirement jobs, first as a Customer Service Manager at Donatos Pizza and later as a food demonstrator at Sam’s Club. These positions were a perfect fit for Mary Ann because they gave her the opportunity to do what she loved most—meet people and talk with them.

Mary Ann truly never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Her friendly nature, genuine interest in others, and warm personality left an impression on everyone she met.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Logan), affectionately known as “her baby,” and Victoria; her beloved grandsons, Tom and Trent; her brothers, Joe, Anthony (Debbie), and John (Pam); along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and additional family in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by her special longtime friends, Ancie and Danny Schmidt, who held a cherished place in her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert A. Tackett Sr.; her parents, Anthony and Rose Condo; her brother, Thomas Condo; and her sister-in-law, Lois Ann Condo.

Mary Ann will be remembered not only for the years she devoted to her work, but even more for the countless conversations, friendships, smiles, and memories she shared along the way. She had a special way of making people feel like old friends, even if she had just met them. Her love of people was one of the qualities that made her so special.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Johnstown Pointe for the care and compassion they provided Mary Ann during the last few months of her life. To the nurses and aides who took the time to truly get to know her, care for her, and provide that next level of love and attention—we are forever grateful. You know who you are, and words cannot express how much your kindness and care have meant to Mary Ann and her family. Also, a special thank you to Bella Hospice.

Mary Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, family, laughter, and connection. Though she is no longer here to share a conversation or greet someone with her familiar warmth and smile, the memories she created and the lives she touched will keep her spirit alive.

Mary Ann will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, her special friends, former coworkers, and the many people who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on September 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Prayer Service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035, US, on September 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

After the funeral service at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery's Chapel, a celebration of life will take place at her brother Anthony's house. Details will be provided after the service.
