

Matthew attended Holy Name High School, in Parma Heights Ohio and he later obtained his BA at Baldwin Wallace in political science and History, and his Masters of Health Administration program at the Ohio University. Throughout his professional career he acted as the Ohio House of Representatives legislative liaison, before going to the Ohio Department of Mental health and addiction service, as a policy advisor for 19years.
In his free time Matthew had many interest, including sports. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed to watch the Cleveland Indians/Guardians, the Boston Celtics and the Columbus Crew. Matthew also enjoyed to collect comic books and legos. In addition he enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and lawncare, reading about history and philosophy. Matthew enjoyed a wide variety of music genre, and particularly enjoyed playing records.
Matthew was a dog lover at heart, and homed many rescues: Maddy, Stanley, Ryker and Bella. He was a Patriot and supported both military and public service members and was active in politics and passionate about the political process.
Matthew will be greatly missed by his wife, Regina Williams Loncaric; brothers, Michael (Amy) Loncaric, Mark Loncaric, and P. Joseph Loncaric; step-daughter, Kristi (Adam) Wright; three step-grandchildren; dear cousins; and numerous extended family and close family friends.
A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 3:30pm and a visitation for Matthew will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, OH 43082. A burial will occur Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mt St Macrina Cemetery, Mt St Macrina Road, Uniontown, PA 15401.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church or the Delaware County Humane Society.
