Melissa didn't have to befriend me, a person working with and supervised by her husband, but she did. She made me feel welcome and comfortable from the first time we met, and took an interest in me and my child in ways I won't forget. I am so sorry, Dave, and all who loved Melissa, for this huge loss that has come too soon.

Dear Dave; Donald and Olga; Sharon and John; Cody; Emily; Rhonda;  Carl; and families:  I was saddened to learn of Melissa's passing last week and grateful to be able to watch the live stream of her service this morning from Dallas.  My heart goes out to you during this difficult time.  I'll always remember Melissa's huge smile and her joy of life and, of course, the times at Mamaw and Pepaw's house we shared with her.  I'm so thankful she made it back to Dallas periodically, and I was able to see her some of those times.  Melissa and I shared the love of visual arts, quilting and dogs, three common interests that will forever remind me of her.  May the memories you have of Melissa lift you up. She was also a genuinely kind and welcoming woman. She’ll always be with you and will be watching from above. She may even give you heck from time to time!! I am truly sorry for your loss.. Sad that Melissa passed away. She was too young. So sorry Dave for everything you're going through. I will always remember you and Melissa coming to my house in Columbus for pictionary game parties.  Good times.
