Michael J. McNerney

Michael J. McNerney, 73, of Columbus, passed away on November 3, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1952, to the late William and Edna (Doon) McNerney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings William( Bill) McNerney, Sue Thompson, Donald Troutman, Dick Troutman, and Kermit Troutman.

Mike started his career in the early days at Robin Enterprises and Printing. He found his love and passion for driving a School bus for Columbus City Schools. Mike had 25 plus years driving the school bus. He loved the kids and the school bus drivers he worked with every day. He enjoyed driving the kids to the Friday night football games and other activities.

The love and kindness Mike showed us will never be forgotten. He was always there to lend a helping hand and offer kind words. We will cherish the moments we spent with Mike (Uncle Mike).

Mike will be greatly missed by his sister, Margaret McNerney; nieces and nephew Sherie Lowe (Mark McKibben), Ron (Nicole) Thompson, Valerie (Vince)Milano, and Vicki (Andy) Canter; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Schoedinger Worthington. A funeral celebrating Mike’s life will be held the next morning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
