Nancy Katherine Longenbaker, 77, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Thursday. October 1st 2026, after a steady decline in health over the last 2 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Suzanne (McKay) Longenbaker, sibling Margaret (Peggy) Sexton and brother-in-law Vince Tantes.
She is survived by her loving siblings; amazing sisters, Sharon Tantes and Mary Sue Taub and grateful brother Joe (Dani) Longenbaker, Special cousin Amy Way and many other wonderful cousins, lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and a great-great nephew.
Nancy followed her mother's footsteps by becoming an involved member of Daughters of Erin, even receiving the honors of Member of the Year in 2014 and Irish Woman of the Year in 2023.
As a second career, Nancy became a devoted caregiver to her nephew Bryan for 25 plus years. She was also a strong and involved supporter of his participation in Team Heart and Sole and Miracle League Baseball.
Family and friends may come to celebrate Nancy’s life at her service at 5:00 pm on Wednesday October 14th, and enjoy a time of visiting at a reception to follow until 7:00 pm at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699, North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.
