Neal Anthony Shumway, 52, passed away on August 15, 2026. Born on June 20, 1974. A loving husband to Ginger and a devoted father to Andrew. Known for his unwavering kindness, quick wit, and boundless generosity, Neal touched the lives of everyone he met. He found joy in woodworking, tinkering with electronics, metalsmithing, and spending time with friends and family. Many who knew him said that he was their best friend. Neal had many friends and was a trusted advisor and problem solver. His legacy of love, creativity, and sarcasm will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Neal was a graduate of the Devry Institute of Technology in electrical engineering. He spent his free time supporting conservation focused organizations such as Safari Club International & The NRA.
Neal is survived by his loving mother, Judy A. Panek, brother, David P. Shumway, son, Andrew A. Shumway, wife Ginger M. Shumway (Merriman) and feline friend Chewy. Neal is also survived by his cousins Brad (Stephanie), Adam, Carrie (Ryan), and Uncle Ben (Diane).
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, US, on August 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
