Ollie Mae Gabbert

Ollie grew up in Emerson, Kentucky. She later moved to Columbus, Ohio, and then was a long-time resident of Worthington. She enjoyed garage sales, playing bingo and was excellent at checkers and euchre. She found joy in spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Ollie had a strong faith and we take comfort in knowing she is in the care of the Heavenly Father. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Ollie is survived by her daughter, Rita (Lonnie) Waldrop, grandson Nick Waldrop, granddaughters Lauren and Abby Waldrop, brothers James (Jane) Rose and Clint (Essie) Rose, and nephew Ron Stackpole. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Harlan Rose, husband Wayne Gabbert, son Mike Johnson, and sister Evelyn Runyon.

We are so grateful for the loving care she received from the staff at Danbury Senior Living, as well as Capital City Hospice.

A funeral celebrating Ollie’s life will be held at 11:30am Monday, December 2, 2024 at Schoedinger Worthington. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the start of the service. A private entombment will take place at Kingwood Memorial Cemetery.
