Page graduated from Worthington High School in 1948 playing football, basketball, and baseball. In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart Nancy Gerhart in the Worthington Presbyterian Church where his grandfather was the first pastor. Page went on to graduate from Ohio Wesleyan where he was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Upon graduation he worked for Ford Motor Company and Lazarus department store. He spent time serving in the Navy, participating in the Bay of Pigs and was a lifelong member of University Lodge (Mason). He was an early member of Professional Practice Management serving the Columbus medical community as a business consultant.
Golf was his passion, spending countless hours trying to perfect his game and pass on his tips and knowledge to anyone who would listen. When you met Page you could be assured there was a golf lesson in your future.
Affectionately known as Papa to his three grandchildren, Page became a veteran of hundreds of sporting events, bus stop pick-ups and school celebrations.
He is preceded in death by his parents and Nancy, his wife of 67 years. He is survived by his children Dr. Rebecca Brightman (Dr. William Wise), Gregory Brightman (Kendra Cook), his grandchildren Amelia (Kyle Mumma), Hart, and Grayson Wise and most importantly his constant companion, Hero.
Dad, Page, Papa…thank you for being so special.
