Richard L Murray

We mourn the loss of Richard (Dick) Murray who passed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, after a six-month battle with cancer. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, his father, Robert, and mother Betty, and by his sister, Linda. He is survived and mourned by his three sons, Robert, Richard and William, his daughter-in-law, Melia, and his grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Kira and Ryan, numerous nieces and nephews that remember him fondly as Uncle Dick, and many friends and acquaintances. Dick was a veteran of the Air Force, was a member of Demolay and was a Mason. He was a third generation and 38-year employee of General Motors, and a business owner, with Karen, of Smoke Signals cigar and tobacco store at Polaris, and finally, loved working as a helpful, hardware associate at Lowes for eight years. Dick was a wonderful father and grandfather, a Little League Coach and Cub Scouts Pack Leader, and will be missed deeply. Rest at peace, Dad… we love you.

A visitation for Richard will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A funeral will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Schoedinger Worthington.
