Sharon Charisse Dudley, 69, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s side on March 21, 2026. Born on October 18, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, Sharon spent her entire life in the city she lovingly called home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Flora J. Dudley-Scales, and her father, Richard Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Dr. Kristiauna Lattimer (Tony Lattimer); granddaughter, Legacy Lattimer; sister, Tami Dudley; brother, Derrick Dudley; nephew, Gregory Dudley; dear friend, Joyce Merchant; cousin, Brenda Dudley, whose consistent presence and care in Sharon’s final days were a true gift; and a host of extended family and friends.
Sharon dedicated over 36 years to the beauty industry as a licensed cosmetologist. She began her career at the JCPenney Styling Salon in September 1976, faithfully serving clients at both the Northland and Polaris locations. Through her excellence, consistency, and quiet mastery of her craft, she was promoted to Master Designer in the spring of 2005.
Even after her retirement, Sharon’s passion for serving others never ceased. She continued to care for many of her longtime clients privately, including one whom she served faithfully for over 45 years, a rare and beautiful reflection of her loyalty, steadiness, and commitment.
From a young age, Sharon had a heart for caring for others. As a teenager, she worked as a candy striper in local hospitals and nursing homes, demonstrating early the compassion that would mark her entire life, especially her love and care for the elderly.
Sharon was known for her sweet, calm, and peaceful demeanor. She was a woman of few words, yet her life spoke volumes. Marked by humility, servanthood, and quiet strength, she lived with a gentle consistency that brought comfort to those around her.
Though naturally private, Sharon was warm, nonjudgmental, and a trusted listening ear. She carried herself with grace, discretion, and a kindness that made others feel safe, seen, and cared for. She chose a life free from gossip and bitterness, allowing her presence to remain steady, sweet, and full of peace.
Her greatest devotion was to raising Kristiauna. As a single mother, Sharon poured her entire adult life into nurturing and providing, ensuring every opportunity for growth, education, and meaningful life experiences. Through sacrifice and diligence, she provided a private school education and laid a strong foundation that would shape her daughter’s life.
Her love extended deeply to her granddaughter, Legacy Grace, whom she adored. Her visits, thoughtful packages, and frequent phone calls will be cherished memories that remain close to the heart.
Sharon also faithfully cared for her mother, Flora, in her later years, embodying honor, patience, and devotion. She shared an unbreakable bond with Tami and was a loving and supportive presence in the life of her brother, Derrick.
Those who knew Sharon will remember someone who always saw the good in others. Her life was not loud, but it was deeply impactful—a quiet, steady example of love in action. She lived with humility, served without recognition, and gave of herself in ways that will continue to echo through the lives she touched.
Sharon’s life was a testimony of faithfulness, gentleness, and enduring love.
She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy lives on in her daughter, granddaughter, and in every life she quietly nurtured along the way.
