A proud graduate of Hilliard High School, Sue went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Capital University and later completed her master’s degree in education from Ashland University. She devoted over 30 years to teaching elementary students in the Hilliard and Worthington City School Districts. Sue’s classroom was a place of warmth, creativity, and encouragement, a reflection of her deep commitment to nurturing young minds and hearts. Her impact as an educator and friend continues in the many lives she has touched.
Sue met the love of her life, Howard McMeans, Jr., at a class reunion. It was her unmistakable, contagious laugh that caught his attention from across the room—and from that moment, their story began. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to devotion, faith, and love.
