After graduating Linden McKinley High School in 1965 he married his high school love, Emma. “Terry” then served his country as a Boatswain’s Mate in the U.S. Navy. He went on to obtain a degree in Business Administration from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He worked in many transport industries before retiring to spend time with his family. One of his mottos was “I can drive anything with wheels on it”. His passions were everything motorsports, especially Jr. Drag Racing with his grandkids. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Cleveland Browns and Guardians. He would often spend his free time working with his hands, becoming an encyclopedia regarding cars and motorcycles. Above all was Terry’s deep love for Emma and his family. He will be remembered for this, his sense of humor and his orneriness. He is eternally loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents Gail & Florence Martin and brother Ronnie. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife Emma (Gallicchio) Martin of 59 ½ years, children; Rodney (Kriste) Martin and Angie (Scott) Linnane, 5 grandchildren; Nathaniel Johnson, David (Janine) Johnson, Rodney Martin Jr, Mckennah (Wesley) Jude and Kayla Linnane, 6 great grandchildren; Colton Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Noah Johnson, DJ Johnson, Willow Jude and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a grateful appreciation to Maddie, Sarah, Kimmie and Mary/Helen of Heartland Hospice. Friends who wish, may contribute in memory of Terry to Heartland Hospice Marion, Ohio.
