

Bill is survived by his daughters, Nancy Lincoln of Glen Ellyn, IL, Andrea Miller (Adam) of Greensboro, NC and Nicole Orgain of Nashville, TN, sister Judith Summers of St. Simons, GA. He will be dearly missed by his 6 grandchildren, Blake Miller, John Miller, Alexandra Lincoln, Nick Miller, Madeline Orgain and Katie Miller.
Bill was born in Danville, PA on January 28, 1943 to Frances Amelia Kotys (McGinnis) Nicholas Alexander Kotys. He graduated from Emory University in 1965 and received his Master of Business Administration from University of Florida in 1967. He served in the United States Navy on U.S.S. Traverse County where he was a supply corps officer. He retired as a Commander for the Naval Reserve in 1994.
Bill’s field of work was in Medical Device Sales including Ethicon (a division of Johnson & Johnson) and Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. In 1991 Bill founded Kotys & Company as a self-employed medical device sales representative.
Bill is a lifelong learner and travel enthusiast. His most recent expeditions include Australia, Vietnam, and Ireland, during which he honed his photography skills. When stateside, Bill is a sailor, a proud board member and of the Hoover Sailing Club. Other passions include cycling, hiking, downhill skiing, dancing with the Buckeye Bop Club, wood-working and counseling his family and friends.
A viewing is scheduled on Thursday September 1st at Schoedinger Worthington, Ohio from 4 pm-7 pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 am on September 2nd at St. Paul the Apostle in Westerville, Ohio.
