

Lewis Center – William (Bill) Leon Webb passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Katherine (Kelley) Webb, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, known for his quick wit and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his children, Shannon M. Miller (John) and Christopher Marshall Webb (Kim); his cherished grandchildren, including two granddaughters, one grandson, two step-grandchildren, and a step-great-granddaughter. Bill is also survived by his sister, Sherron Torrence (David), two half-sisters, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter Marshall Webb and Marjorie Burke Webb.
Bill was a proud graduate of Aquinas High School and attended The Ohio State University. He honorably served in the United States Naval Submarine Service for six years before transitioning into a long and successful career. Following his military service, Bill worked for Accuray Corporation, now known as ABB Inc., where he dedicated 36 years. As a regional sales manager, Bill played a pivotal role nationally and internationally, earning numerous awards for his achievements in sales and leadership. Bill was a man of deep faith and was a member of Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Westerville, Ohio.
Outside of work, his passions were golf, cooking, and traveling in his RV with his wife and his sidekick, Charlie (his dog). He also had a lifelong love for fishing and often said that his best days on the water were simply being there. Known for his wisdom and generosity, Bill was a trusted friend, a great advice-giver, and an exceptional cook. Above all, his greatest joys in life were his faith, his family, and his country. Bill was the first president of the Cedarville RV Resort and spent several years enjoying the serenity of fishing on Lake Huron with his loyal companion, Charlie. His friends and family will deeply miss his wisdom and the joy of his captivating storytelling.
A visitation for William will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A memorial mass will occur Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N State St, Westerville, OH 43082.

In a heartfelt email after his passing, Bill’s granddaughter, Lexie, beautifully captured his legacy, writing “I love you both so much. Papa was the best papa in the whole world, your love for each other is truly an inspiration. My papa was the smartest guy I knew and forever will be. Love you so much.”
