We are neighbors and just found out about Rod's passing this afternoon.  We are so sorry for your loss.  We always appreciated Rod looking out for us when it snowed and clearing our drive way.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were so blessed to know Mr. Haas through his daughter, Vicki, and his granddaughters, Ashley and Sarah. He was so proud of his granddaughters! He always made an effort to attend their school and Girl Scout events and we loved to see him there. He was a wonderful grandfather and a true gentleman. Our prayers are with his family and friends who will miss him so dearly. The Shockey family

Cleta and Girls:  I will never forget the smile that Rod always had on his face. It has been a long time since we were in church together at East Dayton but he is one man that once you met him you would never forget him. I want you to know that even if I can't be there in person, you all are in my thoughts and in my prayers.  I know Rod and daddy will be the first to greet me when I arrive at Heaven's gate.  Love ya all.

Rod:

I wish we could have gotten time to go down to the creek and shoot rifles again like we did when you lived down on the farm at Hillsboro. We should have taken time to make homemade ice cream like your Dad liked to do. So many opportunities missed to gather as family and share our heritage. You will be missed by all your cousins.

What a blessing it has been to serve along side such a man as Rod Haas! He was attentive not just to church things, but he was also truly concerned about the individual. I cannot express how much I respect & love Rod, and I'm grateful that this isn't so long, but see you soon!

Always a smile! A laugh that filled th room and hung in the air!  Always quick with a joke!  Never a bad thing to say about anyone, a dirty word, a mean thought.

The first to set up the volleyball net at the family reunions.  Always a rib or jab for unsupecting family members, and always with that big grin...and never any malice in doing so...just a little fun.

Rod was one in a million, and we should all try to be more like him...A POSITIVE THINKER!

He loved his wife and family, worked hard to make a good life for all of them, and will be missed by all of us!  Godspeed!  And...thanks for making the world a better place.

Rod was a great person and I  enjoyed working with him. He was a person you could always count on. At church he took care of everyone on Sunday mornings, his goal  was to make sure the congregation was comfortable. Rod was a real cool guy and he had a wonderful way of expressing himself. He was my brother in Christ and I miss him.
